Things that never change

When I blogged about Tokio Hotel's new album last october I wasn't very positive to say the least and stating (and I quote) that I had no intention whatsoever to see them perform live.
Well, I changed my mind, how 'bout that.
Have I been listening to their new album non-stop like I did with the old ones? Nope.
Have I been following their every move like back in the days? Nope.
Do they after all, have this special place in my heart and all the memories attached to it, that I just couldn't NOT go see them? Hell yes!

So I told my TH bestie to pull out her permanent markers (why did people do this? You can't go write someone's name across your face, that is not normal) 'cause we're going to see Tokio Hotel next week!
I was late ordering tickets so all seats were taken so we have to stand in front of the stage. Good chance to see them up close, that would be nice for a change.
I'm really wondering if there are still some old school TH fans left in Holland and what the're like nowadays.
I know not a lot of people are reading this since I've been giving my blog the silent treatment for quite some time but if you are going to see them this World Tour please let me know in the comments!

Kings of Suburbia - Tokio Hotel's New Album after all / How about it?

Seemed weird not to speak up about Tokio Hotel's new album after a wait of five YEARS and one day since Humanoid. I've thought and spoke about it so much since 2009. Was disappointed it took so long and a little mad it got postponed a few times too. But overall, I was just really looking forward to their new music. Now it's finally here, I don't really know how I feel about it...

Not hating on them saying I want "the old" Tokio Hotel back but not praising them for their "wonderful" album either like I've seen a lot of fans out there do.
In my opinion Run Run Run, Girl's Gotta Gun and Love who Loves you back are all pretty good songs. But the rest of the album is like some mediocre mainstream house music I would never listen to if it hadn't been produced by my favorite foursome.. or Tom Kaulitz, since we're being honest here.
My boyfriend is a dj and music producer so I do have something to say about this. I once fell for Tokio Hotel because of their creativity, their outspokenness, their guts and the ROCK music they made. I don't think any fanbase has the right to demand their idols make the same thing over and over because that is what their fans want. That's just a strike out to any true musicians creativity. It does me good to see them grow up and doing what they choose to do and I love the statements Bill's making on love and sexuality in their video's. But this is such a turnaround I don't think you can call them a band anymore. Never in a million years I would have thought I'd say this but I have no intention whatsoever to see them perform any of these songs "live". The autotune's just killing me. Would be fine if this was the album they made in their first year in LA. But this is definitely not the come back I've been waiting for.

What about you?

The Longest Wait

"Dude...where's this album you were talking about long before I came around?"

Tokio WHO?

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything about Tokio Hotel. Main reason; except for both twins growing a lot of facial hair, there was no news for a very long time. The brothers took their well deserved rest in LA and the other half of the band was still in Germany.
On september 16th of 2011 I posted on this very blog that the next album was coming out spring 2012.
This didn't happen. The last couple of weeks give us new hope 'cause there are starting to appear pictures and messages of Gustav and Georg on the web. And guess what, it seems like the're actually making music!

If there's anything big happening in the alien galaxy (I just hate we're called aliens, is that allowed?) I'll keep you posted. I'll finish with this youtube vid that isn't that newsworthy but just made me laugh when I saw it.

A second twin tattoo

Uh oh what's going on here? Tom couldn't leave it at one...He and his brother went for a second "twin tattoo" eventhough each on a different spot on their body plus in a different colour variety. The tattoo artist who did it is Wyatt van der Geest. Check out his website www.wyattvandergeest.com. (I had to look twice but this is Bill in the picture)

Bill prepares himself for his how-many-th tattoo with a smoke and a coke.

Bill walking down the street being his cool self.

Tom at work in the studio. Where's that spring album you guys?

Nederland - Deutschland

Ok you're still my two favorite German people in the world but tonight I have to put all this aside.
I don't know about you guys but I'm a HUGE football/soccer fan. Tonight we have to kick Germany's ass!

Tom and Bill Kaulitz - Childhood photo's

While their birth dad rattles on about his concerns about his sons in Bild some private photo's were being published of the twins' childhood which I don't want to keep from you.

Note: I hope no-one blames me for posting these. Browse a little on the web and you would've found 'em anyways and second I don't think they discredit or harm the Kaulitz brothers in any way. It shows they at least also had some good times with their dad.
.
For everyone's sake, whatever the matter, I hope Bill and Tom will work things out with their father.

Bill and Tom's dad is "worried"

Bill and Tom's biological dad Jörg says in an interview with Bild that he is very worried about his two sons.

He describes the youth of his sons as that of prisoners. He says he was allowed to visit concerts of Tokio Hotel but had to watch and see Gordon (the new husband of the twins mother Simone) and his ex-wife being there as the official parents while he had to hide his presence. Jörg says he has hardly any contact with his sons anymore since they left for LA in 2010. The last text message he got from Tom said "We're having problems and must work on our past".

Jörg says the twins have been rushed from concert to concert until they were burnt out which was so stressfull it made them "mentally ill".
Last news on this is the fact that Jörg claims the twins have send him a letter that demands of their father never to speak about their past again, in return he was offered 6000 euro hush money.

Personally I think this is more about money than true concern about his sons and so does Pro 7;

Bill featured in horrible song

Haha ok that wasn't very nice. I think I've told you earlier Bill was recording a song together with Far East Movement, or actually he sings a part in their song "If I die tomorrow". The full song is not yet available but here is a preview.

How the twins love their doggies

First we had Tom apparently talking (or perhaps singing who knows, the vid was uploaded without audio) to his dog posting "I had a short conversation with my boy, he is always listening"

And now we have Bill with a vid of his little hairy fourlegged girl trying to create a nice spot on the carpet in the studio to lie down (my dog has the exact same behaviour including the yawn at the end!)

"Uns geht's richtig gut" - Tokio Hotel update

Not much to tell again but maybe you're like me, happy with every new picture you see! The twins are smiling, looking happy and healthy and Tom and Ria are obviously still a couple!

Tokio Hotel - Update Leute Heute

Well, update.. there's no news actually, just some nagging about Bill being too thin again. There are some pics I'd never seen before so maybe nice to watch anyways. (Funny detail, at 00:09 she actually says Tom always experimented with his hair and make up :')

Bill's hand tattoo

Yesterday Bill showed his new hand tattoo to the world. What do you think?

And as much as you hate or like Bill's change all the time it's nice to know that some things stay the same...

The Twin Tattoo

The long expected twin tattoo. Bill and Tom are talking about it for years and now they finally did it.
This is a picture of Bill's. I'm guessing time of birth.... anyone any better ideas?
                                                             Doesn't move a muscle..
